The future of corporate travel
Until recently, incentive travel was synonymous with “all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean”. And while it’s nice to see some companies go beyond that simple model, it’s time we, as an industry, really step up our game. Why should we subject our top performers or perspective clients to standard tourist-hotspots? Sure three days in Rome, or six days in Jamaica sounds like a nice getaway, but are they really enjoying themselves or seeing anything these places have to offer?
Our goal is to offer the most unique incentive trip on the market. If you’re looking for six days of nothing but beach, this is not for you; but if you’re interested in a fun-filled, Amazing-Race-style, travel competition, then welcome to Etgar!
At Etgar, we are about having fun while getting your hands dirty. We will take you to big cities and small towns across the country, and have your group competing in fun challenges each day. Our trips can range anywhere from four to seven days, and participants will be sure to taste, feel, climb and dance their way from sea to shining sea. And while there can only be one winning team crowned at the end of the trip, everyone goes home a winner thanks to the amazing memories.
We call our trips “Team-Building 42.0” because they are so different from anything that has been done before; calling it Team-Building 2.0 just wouldn’t do it justice. Our trips are 3-5 days long and make the bonding experience fun like never before. Imagine sending your team to compete on The Amazing Race, while knowing that the trip has been tailor-made for corporate team-building. No eating weird things or lifting heavy objects – this “competition” is solely about bringing out the best in your team. They’ll be given the tools to work more productively, and in a more synergistic manner, with any type of person they may be collaborating with – clients, co-workers and managers
The concept of team-building is not a new one. Companies like yours have spent years, and a great deal of money, finding the perfect way to keep their teams engaged, productive, and happy. Unfortunately however, It’s quite difficult to get any form of true bond after a simple one-day (or even half-day) event. After all, many team-building events are scheduled around other types of meetings, which further hinders the group’s desire to let lose and come out of their proverbial shell.
Our regional, team-building competitions will have your group engaged, working together, and having a great time, all while honing in on crucial workplace skills like listening, collaboration, resource allocation, delegation, creativity, and more. Whether you want to stay close to the office or take the group to one of our regions on the other side of the country, our challenge-based, team-building adventures are sure to be a hit with the entire staff!

All you need in order to compete, is a creative and resourceful mind – NOT physical fitness, or travel experience! Together with our dynamic scoring system, we ensure all individual and team scores remain competitive throughout the trip.
FUN, QUIRKY AND UNIQUE
We push you (gently) out of your comfort zone so you’ll discover skill sets you never even knew existed! Sometimes our challenges are about striving to be the best, but other times, it’s just about being least worst.
What are these challenges?
Master craftsmen take years to perfect their craft. Teams will take crash courses and learn as much as possible in an hour. Then, we insert you in the workshop, to create your own masterpiece (or at least something vaguely recognizable).
Music and dance define nations and their people. Etgar transforms you from a passive audience member into an active performer. You are the star of the show, as you quickly absorb a course from a professional local dancer or musician before your big moment.
We mash up the competitiveness of “Iron Chef” with the authenticity of local cuisine. It’s cooking without a net, as there will be a master chef on hand but you may not get the recipes.
Scavenger hunts, labyrinths, escape rooms… Call them what you will. But getting lost in these is a far more interesting way to learn about local history and culture than having your head buried in a guidebook.
Sure, looking out at a mountain can be beautiful (and it’s what most people do)… But anything goes at Etgar! You may have to go UP, THROUGH, OVER, or even UNDERNEATH a mountain to accomplish your challenge. Don’t worry though, only minimal strength and endurance is necessary. As we’ve said, this is about brains, not brawn.
